Nerdy gifts for nerdy people

For the longest time I have been promising one of my co-workers that I would paint a picture for him. He wouldn't tell me what he wanted me to paint and said that he'd leave that up to me. So I decided to do this superman logo because I always tease him about being a comic book nerd. I gave it to him yesterday which happened to be his last day at work. He said he's going to hang it up in his new office. So I'm guessing he liked it ;)

So I didn't dress up this year. But I did manage to give myself a googly eyes manicure :) I came across the idea here on pinterest. No big plans for me tonight. I think I'll just enjoy some sweets and see what Netflix has to offer. Have a happy and safe holiday everybody!

It's officially my favorite time of year. Time for pumpkin lattes, Halloween decorations and cozy fall clothes. And to top it off I'm planning a trip to Disneyland on October 15th during their Halloween festivities. I'm beyond excited!! 

What I've been up to

 

 Just a little photo collage update of what I've been up to. 

Tried this recipe that I found via pinterest.  Had jalapeno bombs with the girls on our sushi date. Scored the cutest blue fake TOMS at the flea market (Only $10!!). Enjoyed the best strawberry margarita after a day of shopping. Tried out a new nail polish color and design. And finally started decorating the new apartment.

 

Yosemite

I recently took a little time off of work to do a little relaxing. One of those vacation days were spent in Yosemite National Park. The weather was amazing and the sights were absolutely gorgeous.  I wish I never had to leave.

Just a quick post to share a couple of my favorite things at the moment.

1. Bright pink nails. This specific shade is Sinful Colors in 24/7

2. My imitation TOMS from Payless (Hope Canvas Slip on). The most comfortable pair of shoes ever! And they're super cheap too! ($20)

3. Lip products. Specifically NYX lipsticks & e.l.f lipglosses. They come in a variety of colors and they're very affordable. I'm slowly becoming more daring with my lip color choices and it's so much fun.

Moving Day

Goodbye pretty blue wall :(

 So one of the reasons I haven't been blogging is because I've been preparing to move into my new apartment.  I don't think I mentioned this previously but my youngest sister, Jamiee, will be moving in with me this fall.  She was accepted to Sac State so she's moving here to Sacramento and staying with me.  This shall be interesting ;)  So I've been busy apartment hunting and packing the last couple of weeks, on top of working and all the other crazy things going on. Today was the actual "moving day."  My family came into town to help move the majority of my stuff.  I definitely got my exercise today.  And to top it off it was 100 degrees today! There's a little bit left to do which we will tackle in the morning. For now I'm exhausted and I hear my pillow calling me.
