It's about time I introduce myself. So let me begin...

Hi, I'm Angie. Nice to meet you.

The Basics:
I'm 28 years old
I was born and raised in Merced, CA
I am the oldest of 4 girls
I graduated from college with an AA in Psychology & a BA in Art History
I moved to Sacramento, CA in May 2010
I currently work for the Dept. of Corrections
My nationality is a mix of African American and Mexican
I've been a vegetarian for about 12 years

~Random info~

-This is my dog Jepha.
He is named after the bass player from The Used. He's 3 years old and a chihuahua/dachshund mix. He is the world's most hyper dog, he LOVES grass (eating it, rolling in it) and he's not a fan ducks. Oh and he has one tooth that sticks out that I call his "crocodile tooth."

-My main hobbies are: watching movies, reading blogs, crocheting, sewing and painting.

-I have 7 tattoos, pierced tongue, naval, and gauged ears. I'm done with piercings but I do have more tattoos planned.

-I bake waaay too much. I'm the person who brings cookies to work because I got bored the night before and decided to bake. I mostly bake cookies (chocolate chip & oatmeal raisin).

- I love craft/fabric stores. I can spend hours wandering around getting ideas.

-I haven't been reading much lately but my favorite author is Augusten Burroughs. When I do read it's usually memoirs. I did recently start the Harry Potter books though.

-I LOVE vanilla soft serve ice cream cones.. Seriously, LOVE

-My favorite color combo is black, white and turquoise.

-I hate wearing socks that match. So I mismatch them on purpose.

-My hair is naturally super curly but I usually wear it straight

-I hate kissing noises. Like crazy lip-smacking.. Gross

-Plastic surgery FREAKS me out

-I can't watch scary movies. I'm the biggest chicken and I admit it.

-Watching live music is one of my favorite things in the world. I used to go to concerts/shows ALL the time. I've seen hundreds of bands play and was even lucky enough to meet most of them. I don't go as much anymore mainly because the venues just haven't been booking very good shows lately. I do still go to Warped Tour every summer though.

[The Matches]

-My all time favorite band is The Matches. Their album Decomposer changed my life. They broke up in 2009 and I'm still bummed.

-Most of the time my nails are painted like this..

-My favorite movie is Garden State.

-I just recently started wearing dresses and I'm loving them.

-I make funny faces for no reason

-I'm addicted to Netflix.

-I don't own a tv or an iphone. People tell me this is weird.

-I sleep on my couch instead of my bed.

-I own the entire series of Gilmore Girls on DVD and I've watched them so many times that some of the discs won't play anymore. Watching them always makes me feel better when I'm having a bad day. I do make references to the show a lot but most people don't quite get them.

-I basically only listen to rock. I'm picky when it comes to music.

-Burritos are by far my favorite things to eat. Followed closely by pizza and grilled cheese sandwiches.

-I still haven't figured out what I want to be when I grow up.

-I've never been out of the country before. In fact the only other states I've been to are: Oregon, Nevada, Maryland and North Carolina. I dream about traveling on a daily basis. So far this year I plan to visit Seattle and Portland. Hopefully next year I make it to Europe.
