Happy Sunday! I hope you're all relaxing and enjoying beautiful weather wherever you are. So far it's been a lovely weekend here in Sacramento. It's a bit chilly outside but the sky is blue and the sun is out!
So yesterday my family (minus my sister, Christie) came to visit and stay the night. They were in town because my youngest sister, Jamiee was accepted to CSU Sacramento for Fall semester (YAY)! So she had to come into town to take a placement test. After her test they met me at my apartment and settled in while we decided on where to eat. Trying to all decide on a place to eat is always a long ordeal with us (picky parents). After what felt like hours we decided to just eat at the Elephant Bar since it's literally a block away from my apartment. I LOVE their vegetable stir fry with tofu. I definitely suggest you try it, vegetarian or not. After dinner we came back to the apartment and got to work on figuring out the sleeping arrangement. My apartment suddenly felt VERY small. It totally reminded me of childhood slumber parties but it was kinda weird that it was my parents crashing at MY place. After everyone was settled I whipped up a yummy blackberry cobbler that we ate with cake batter ice cream.. SOOOO good! Then we watched a couple episodes of Glee on netflix until everyone passed out.
This morning we got up early and went to breakfast at Denny's. After we stuffed ourselves we decided to walk it off by going to check out Old Town Sacramento. I had been wanting to spend a weekend wandering around Old Town ever since I moved to Sacramento. The only time I had been down there was for New Year's Eve and it was so much fun. Luckily today was a perfect day to be outside. So we took advantage of the nice weather. I personally LOVE old historic towns. When I lived in Merced I would always drive up to Columbia State Historic Park and just wander around taking pictures and browsing the shops. That's pretty much what we did today. My mom was excited to check out all the knick knacks in the shops, my dad was interested in checking out all the old buildings and my sisters and I were busy taking photos of all the pretty sights. Here are a few photos we snapped today:

We only stayed about an hour so we didn't get to explore everything. Something to look forward to the next time they're in town. They've already headed home, so now I get to spend the rest of the day relaxing and working on some paintings.
Have you wandered anywhere interesting lately?
P.S. Next weekend I'll be back with my Weekend Wish List.
